Our Indoor Cages For Guinea Pigs

Our Indoor Cages For Guinea Pigs

The weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful…

Once Christmas time arrives, it can feel cruel to keep certain animals outside. Guinea pigs in particular are very sensitive to temperature changes, and don’t like to be too cold or hot. Consequently, many pet owners prefer to keep their guinea pig indoors during this season.

Experts recommend that when temperatures are below 15°C, guinea pigs should be kept indoors. According to the RSPCA, a room temperature of between 17-20°C is ideal for these critters. It’s also important that your guinea pig is free from draughts, and that they’re kept away from dogs, ferrets and other animals, which stress them out.
