It’s no surprise that in a recent survey customers of our affiliate site voted the Sussex Chicken House with run as one of the best coops for their beloved hens and now with the addition of this spacious run, we believe we have developed the ideal home for the happy chicken.
The Sussex Chicken House with run is aesthetically pleasing whilst being strong and sturdy. The add on run now means that you have over 23 square feet of secure run space.
There is also a designed side run to be extendable – so you always have the option of increasing the amount of space you can give your hens without any hassle or major D.I.Y skills.
Made from high quality timber, each piece of wood is carefully planed to avoid any splintering. The higher grade wire of the run ensures the chickens are free from intruders such as foxes and rodents.
Our stainless steel rust proof locks add to your chicken’s security and the long slanting roof makes this chicken coop stay clean and dry in any adverse weather conditions.
We strive to source only the best materials and most convenient methods for our customers, and we believe the Sussex Chicken House with Run meets every expectation, with an easy clean pull out tray, un-boltable nesting box and multiple access points for collecting or checking on your chickens, you will be amazed at the simple yet sturdy design.
The large front door of the run allows adults and children to gain easy access, changing water and feeding or treating has never been so simple.

This wooden coop is treated with a base coat of wood preservative. The wood we use in this product is a highly durable and scented softwood which is noted for its resistance to decay and rot.
As with all outdoor wooden structures we strongly recommend that you treat your coop with a high quality varnish or wood preservative before exposing it to the elements and that you re-treat it at least once a year (preferably before the winter season) to maintain the applied preservative and water repellent properties. There are many popular products available with Cuprinol , Ronseal and Wilkinson amongst the better known brands.
We also recommend that you try and position your chicken coop in a protected area which is not overly exposed to high winds and the elements.
